DESTINY: Myth or Truth?

There are certain things one shouldn’t ask about, so as not to flee from one’s own destiny.

… And once you know where your destiny is fated to rest, if you still find yourself moving towards it fully aware of your way of being, know that you shall get there through divine intervention.

We, as human beings, are accustomed to manipulation and tend to use different techniques to achieve what we desire unconsciously at various stages of life. As we progress through life, we learn to master this skill and become great manifesters and co-creators of our reality. While some individuals consciously pursue their true calling, others unknowingly follow the path set before them, oblivious to their true purpose.  Inevitably, these experiences are woven into the fabric of our lives, fated to shape us into the individuals we are destined to become.

Sometimes, we feel what we feel and confuse it with what we think. This confusion is created as a result of a feud between the conditioned conscious and the underlying subconscious of an individual. This often creates a haziness around the person who is in denial of their own feelings. A feeling is a feeling, there’s nothing right or wrong about it. Emotions are contrary to feelings as they are driven by the conscious mind of an individual. Reflecting on our feelings can evoke various emotions, which vary based on an individual’s past experiences.

The complexity arises when emotions intertwine with a mind conditioned by external factors, hindering the individual’s ability to fully understand their own functionality. The reason is, we are conditioned to look at what we want to see rather than looking at what is truly being shown to us as the reality of our lives.

Everything we engage in, and every person we encounter, holds a purpose in our lives. They fulfill their roles and bid farewell when fate calls upon them. The more we engage in the manipulation of our fated paths, the more it brings us closer to our destiny. When we focus on calculating consequences in our favor, we often overlook the fact that every thought in our mind, every impulse we feel, serves a purpose, even if we boast about it as our own creation. Our thoughts shape our actions, contributing to the eventual alignment with our destiny. Each calling or inner voice serves a purpose, giving rise to a thought that, in turn, leads to actions guided by fate.

For instance, a traumatic situation becomes a trauma for life because we lacked the ability to deal with it at the time of its happening. Trauma can encompass a wide array of experiences that cause intense pain, distress, fear, or harm to an individual, often resulting in long-lasting emotional or psychological effects. It can include events such as break-ups, evasion, being ghosted, accidents, natural disasters, physical or sexual assault, witnessing violence, or other deeply distressing incidents. If only we could face it as tough beings, capable of comprehending and calculating its impact, confronting the assailant with our physical or mental prowess, and triumphantly unraveling the cause and effect of the situation, we wouldn’t be lamenting it afterward. It would have been an entirely different experience. This feeling would be akin to winning an argument and not harboring any lingering distress, as we would know deep within that we had done the right thing from the start.

Oftentimes, the profound impact of these events leaves lasting scars on us, necessitating a healing journey to overcome the trauma. This process of healing is a gradual one, taking years to restore us to our authentic selves.

The traumas, irrespective of their intensity, are faced by everyone and help them progress through life’s challenges and are the epitome of transformational significance. Regardless of whether an event is positive or negative, each occurrence in our lives carries a significant influence on us. Thus, it is required for us to cultivate and foster an environment of collective consciousness which can help us transcend to higher consciousness and higher purpose in life while we look past the current scenarios. Additionally, I have come to realize after all this time that we cannot evade our shadows, nor can we omit any steps we have already taken physically or mentally, or even emotionally in the past or present. We call it fate.

As time goes by, big problems from the past often seem less important and insignificant probably because we usually are trained to have outgrown our old selves. This journey of growth and transformation is backed by fate and destiny through divine intervention. The only difference is that some fates are as long as a novel and some fates are as short as a poem.
